Best Bets Jan. 28/29: What to watch/where to go

FRIDAY, JAN. 28

  • TELEVISION

GERMAN BUNDESLIGA
Hannover 96 at Bayer Leverkusen
ESPN Deportes, 11:25 a.m.

If Borussia Dortmund doesn't win Germany's top league -- and we think it's a done deal -- then second-place Bayer Leverkusen (10-3-6) or third-place Hannover (11-7-1), with Americans Steve Cherundolo and DaMarcus Beasley, are the best bets to snag the trophy.

MEXICAN PRIMERA DIVISION
Guadalajara at Estudiantes Tecos
Galavision, 6:10 p.m.

Crosstown battle between suburban Zapopan's sides could be a good one. Chivas rarely wins or loses, and Estudiantes already has beaten reigning champ Monterrey.

SUDAMERICANA SUB-20
Colombia vs. Paraguay
ESPN Deportes, 11 p.m.

The final group-stage clash at South America's under-20 championship could determine two berths in the six-nation final round. Colombia needs only a draw to advance; Paraguay might require a victory.
Also
Ecuador vs. Bolivia, ESPN Deportes, 3:55 p.m.
