About a dozen angry Tenerife fans waited outside the club's Heliodoro Rodrigo Lopez stadium over the weekend so they could punish the team bus for the poor form of the players on it. Sitting in the Spanish Segunda Division's relegation zone and coming off a draw at Gimnastic de Tarragona, the masked locals decided to unleash their weak frustration on the bus when it arrived back home. They kicked it and slapped the windows in what amounted to a silly attempt at intimidation while the players waited to get off.
Meanwhile, the bus itself silently wept and wondered why it was being punished because the losers that ride it can't get a win. Sometimes life isn't fair. Even for buses.
