David Beckham is rescuing families in broken down cars

David Beckham, surveying the land for people he can save.

When he's not making another baby, impressing Spurs manager Harry Redknapp on the training ground, or being too fit to join the L.A. Galaxy's preseason camp on time, Davey Becks is apparently cruising the streets of England, helping people in need.

From the BBC:

Paul Long said the former England captain was the first motorist to pull over and assist him with his Nissan Primera in Ware on Wednesday.

Mr Long, who spoke to Richard Bacon on BBC 5 live, added: "We were on the A10 roundabout, which was pretty dangerous, and had been stuck there for about 10 minutes.

"Eventually I saw a car pull over in the distance and a man in a hoodie got out.

"He pulled the hood down and as he got nearer to the car I realised it was David Beckham.

"He asked if we were OK and I said we'd broken down and could he push us to the side.

"When we'd pushed the car to safety -- and I have to say another man stopped to help by this point -- he asked if we were OK and I said: 'David Beckham, I love you, mate'.

"All the way through he was smiling."

"David Beckham, I love you, mate"? He already has the underpants modeling, the 115 caps for England's national team and the millions of other things Becks does. So why not add grinning good samaritan who pushes cars to safety and motivates grown men to say "David Beckham, I love you, mate" during a random Wednesday morning rush hour to the list?

Beckham now joins Inter's Wesley Sneijder as the two selfless footballers who have proven their superiority to the common man in yet another way by helping motorists in distress out of the kindness of their fabulously wealthy hearts. Also, this might prove that David Beckham is actually Batman.
