Goalkeeper Damien Lahaye, on loan at Belgian Jupiler League side KV Kortrijk, didn't help his chances of getting offered a permanent deal by the club during Sunday's match against KAA Gent. In the 82nd minute of a 0-0 match, Lahaye let a cross into the box slip right through his waiting hands and go between his legs for a goal. Gent would win 1-0 and Lahaye would be in for a night of sleep terrors.
Of course, the opposing player jumping in front of him and missing the header served as a bit of a distraction and Lahaye was most likely anticipating a redirection of the ball, but still. It was right there for him.
Somewhere, Rob Green is laughing like a maniac.
