After two games in this season's Argentinean Primera B Nacional, Aldosivi find themselves rock bottom of the table and an early contender for the drop into the regionalized third tier. With the kind of goalkeeping they showed in Tuesday evening's 1-0 home defeat to Ferro Carril Oeste, it's easy to see why.
Just two minutes had passed when Ferro's Juan Pablo Pereyra launched an ambitious overhead volley into the box from the right flank, hoping to connect with a teammate.
Absolutely no one should be able to score from that position with their back to goal, but his volley trickled in because goalkeeper and team captain Pablo Campodnico had apparently spent the pre-match warm-up repeatedly dunking his gloves into tubs of butter.
