Paragliders landing in stadiums before sporting events isn't anything new, but usually they have better aim than this. Prior to an Ecuadorian Serie A match between LDU Quito and Barcelona Sporting Club, they were supposed to land on the pitch, avoiding the players and staff scattered throughout.
Well, one of the paragliders over-shot his landing and slammed into the back of LDU's Argentine striker, Claudio Bieler. And in the video above, we get the best view of all from the paraglider's helmet cam.
Though neither man seemed to be hurt by the collision, Bieler appeared understandably surprised and upset as he untangled himself from the parachute. The man will never be able to do a pre-match warm-up without breaking out in a cold sweat again.
This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
