When your team's captain is jogging towards you as you prepare to take a corner kick, you probably shouldn't take that as a cue to kick the ball directly into his face. Yet, a player from Gardner Webb University did just that for reasons even he can't explain. Clearly he has a secret desire to take out his own side's captain. Or he just wasn't looking.
The captain ended up with a nosebleed, the corner taker will probably never be allowed to take a corner again and a brilliant new strategy was not invented.
