Colombia's Once Caldas shocked Cruzeiro by knocking them out of the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday night. With the tournament favorites surviving a stretch where they played a man down from the 30th minute to the 56th, Once Caldas charged back to score in the 66th and 71st minutes for a 2-0 second leg win that propelled them to a 3-2 aggregate victory.
In the final seconds of added time, Cruzeiro's frustrated manager, Cuca, delivered an elbow to opposing striker Wason Renteria as the player jogged toward him to collect a ball that had gone out. This caused a scuffle and Cuca was sent off for his sneaky attempt at revenge on a night that not one but four Brazilian sides were eliminated from the tournament, leaving just Santos to represent the country in the quarterfinals.
