Costa Rica fans greet U.S. team by throwing eggs and chanting ?USA no fair play?

Costa Rica fans are still very angry about the freak snow storm in Colorado that impacted their 1-0 loss to the United States back in March and when the U.S. team arrived in their country on Tuesday, they let their guests know it. Chanting "USA no fair play" and, according to the Tico Times, throwing eggs when the team arrived at the airport in San Jose, the Costa Ricans made it clear that they will be looking for revenge in Friday's World Cup qualifier between the top two teams in the CONCACAF table.

The win over Costa Rica five months ago was important in propelling the USA's rise to first place in the World Cup Qualification table. It was followed by taking a rare point from the Estadio Azteca in a 0-0 draw against Mexico before the USA went on to win the Gold Cup and notch a team-record 12-match winning streak that is still alive and well.

USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann might have had something to do with stoking Costa Rica's already raging fury when he was asked last week why his team would arrive three days before the game. "Going early into a country, you show them respect, and also let them know that you are there for them," Klinsmann told USsoccer.com. "You train on their fields, communicate with the media in Costa Rica and let them know the U.S. team is in town."

Clearly Costa Rica has been anticipating this day for a while now. Their newspapers even have Landon Donovan artwork prepared for the occasion...
