The Napoli fans who traveled to Ukraine for their side's 3-1 Europa League loss to Dnipro were understandably upset after the match. Especially since they felt manager Walter Mazzerri doomed his side to failure by making it policy to focus on Serie A this season and give the reserves a run out in the Europa League. So after the match, the fans expressed their anger by refusing the player's sweaty gifts.
From Football Italia:
At the end of the 3-1 reverse at Dnipro, a number of players were ready to throw their shirts into the crowd as a gesture of thanks.
However, the 160 Azzurri fans rejected the jerseys in protest at the performance and the club's Europa League policy.
Napoli's headaches only begin there, though. On Friday, the club was charged with match fixing in a game against Sampdoria on the final day of the 2009/10 season, witch captain Paolo Cannavaro also being charged for failing to report the alleged fix.
